Kount executive to speak on internet fraud at annual Direct Response Forum in Brussels

Rouse to address threat to eCommerce posed by botnets and other organized crime rings

BOISE, Idaho- (May 15, 2008) — Steven Rouse, chief operating officer of Boise, Idaho-based Kount Inc., has been invited to participate in a global, round-table discussion regarding emerging online fraud and online fraud control technology at the Direct Response Forum Europe 2008 Annual Conference in Brussels, Belgium, May 18-20 at the Metropole Hotel.

The forum will be attended by approximately 130 top internet companies and vendors from Europe and around the globe.

Rouse will join experts from Trustwave, Cybersource, iovation, 192.com and Ogone on May 20 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. to present and discuss such topics as:

    • Emerging online fraud trends
    • Best practices and technologies to help online merchants defend themselves against hostile, organized crime
    • Securing the order process

Rouse is COO of both Kount and its parent company, Keynetics Inc. He has been instrumental in the research and design of Kount’s online fraud control technology, and brings perspective from both online and brick-and-mortar retail stores. While serving as COO of ClickBank, Rouse saw the company grow to become the largest privately held technology company in Idaho, with more than $300 million in annual sales.

“It’s critical to the growth of ecommerce that top industry players work together to educate online merchants about the persistent and aggressive nature of online crime,” said Rouse. “Merchants need to stay informed and be ready to adapt to emerging threats.”
