Kount placed its customers center stage at this year’s 6th annual user conference. Kount Summit has evolved as a rallying point for today’s merchants to come together, network, share best practices and collaborate to collectively stop fraudsters.
An annual one-day event, Kount Summit assembles hundreds of merchants and partners from across the globe to celebrate customers, engage in one-on-one meetings, learn best practices, network with peers and hear from industry thought leaders.
Highlights from this year’s Summit, include:
- Mastercard provided a keynote focused on the journey from the transaction to interaction within the digital transformation.
- Merchant-driven breakout sessions “raising your fraud profile” and “how to ruin a bad guy’s day” were the talk of the conference.
- Joint presentation from PetSmart and Micro Center regarding how they are not only stopping fraud but prosecuting criminals through the justice system.
- New product reveals and candid Q&A’s gave the audience unique insight into the market and direction of the market.
This year, Kount unveiled new product features and functionality, highlighted partnerships, and shared best practices through prominent customers to help merchants understand, identify and stop fraud. Brad Wiskirchen, Kount’s fearless leader and CEO shared “Because fraud is always changing, it is important that we are providing the most powerful information at the fingertips of today’s fraud analysts. Kount Summit allows us to share new product updates, have customers share insights and best practices and highlight prominent partners.”
On the product front, Kount showcased its recently announced machine learning Boost Technology, as well as revealed its new customer-centric dashboard. Incorporating feedback from its diverse customer base, Kount overhauled its Agent Web Console (AWC) user interface to present the most pertinent information necessary to identifying and stopping fraud. Kount also introduced the integration of the latest version of BehavioSec’s BehavioSense. BehavioSense’s passive behavioral biometrics further verify a user’s identity by monitoring how they naturally interact with their device through keystroke dynamics, touch and mouse motion and other behaviors. BehavioSense’s information is presented to the fraud managers with a simple mechanism to stop bots and allow known users a friction free experience.
Hosting breakout sessions throughout the day, Kount customers (including PetSmart, AMC Theaters, Dunkin Donuts, Micro Center and Entertainment Benefits Group) took the stage to share their unique story. Partners including Whitepages Pro, Ethoca and Chargebacks911 shared insights on how their respective technology is playing a vital role in helping to stop fraud.
For the sixth consecutive year, Kount ended the Summit by hosting its annual awards dinner where it honored its 2018 Fraud Fighter Award winners. New to this year, Kount introduced the Best Crime Stopper award. Award categories and winners are listed below.
