Game on, Dallas! Earlier this month, Kount attended RLPSA, the annual conference where restaurant professionals join together to discuss current trends in loss prevention, security and fraud. Over the course of 4 days, attendees learned first-hand from industry peers and experts such as Papa John’s, McDonald’s Corp, The Cheesecake Factory and Chick-Fil-A as well as motivating keynotes from NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith and NFL Referee Ed Hochuli.
Hot topics on everyone’s mind ranged from risk management and how to beat scammers to food fraud and the risks associated with food delivery. One particular area of interest that kept popping up centered around the rapidly growing issue of eCommerce fraud within the restaurant industry. Kount’s VP of Marketing, Don Bush, had the chance to moderate a panel with Ryan Berkey, Manager of Safety, Security & Strategic Loss Prevention Initiatives at Domino’s and Wendy Hans, Director of Fraud and Loss Control at AMC Theatres to discuss everything from card testing to account takeover to mobile ordering and the eCommerce risks at the forefront of QSR and Fast Casual industries.
In addition to thoughtful content, sessions and networking that took place at RLPSA, there was also an industry first; Kount and RLPSA joined forces to launch the inaugural 2018 Restaurant Fraud Prevention Survey. This survey aims to help restaurants and industry vendors learn more about trends and benchmarks in regards to mobile apps, online ordering, rewards points and omnipresence growth. To contribute to the final report (and for the chance to win one of five $200 cash gift cards), follow this link to complete the survey.
Thank you to RLPSA for another fantastic conference, we can’t wait to see you all again next year in Nashville!
